Amerapex helps donate 40,000+ toys to 12,000+ Houston community children
For many, the 2020 holidays felt a bit different than most years due to the impact of the global pandemic. Amerapex was proud to lend a helping hand to support our local community and families during this time. Our Houston-area teams collectively donated a box full of toys and games benefiting Marine Toys for Tots Foundation in an effort to help give the joy of the holidays to children less-fortunate.
For several weeks leading up to the 2020 holidays, Amerapex collected new, unwrapped toys at our Houston and Pasadena, TX offices. With the help of Amerapex’s participation, the Houston-area Toys for Tots chapter distributed a combined total of 40,010 toys to 12,395 children.

According to their website, “Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity is the fund raising, funding and support organization for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation was created at the behest of the U. S. Marine Corps and provides support in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, who directs the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation has supported Toys for Tots since 1991.The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.”
